Arthur Beeching was photographed at his workplace in 1944 and The National Library of Australia contains what is described as a 'Portrait of Arthur Beeching, technologist at Drouin's co-operative milk factory, Victoria [photo by Jim Fitzpatrick]'; with the accompanying cataglogue notes:-

'Part of the collection: Drouin town and rural life during World War II.
"U429/?70. Arthur Beeching, 30-year old technologist at Drouin co-operative milk factory, tests milk for quality; learned to do so in an Australian technical school. An Englishman, he has been in Australia 15 years, married an Australian girl. They have two children, aged 2 and 4. When not looking at milk and cream through a microscope, Arthur garden, plays tennis, saves postage stamps. He has the biggest collection in Drouin - 2,000."--Printed on label.⁵'

He and Mary Elizabeth Thomson lived in 1980 at 29 Clifford Street, Warragul, McMillan, Victoria, Australia; where they appeared on the Australian Electoral Roll and she was involved with home duties.⁴ Arthur Beeching died on 3 April 1990 at Victoria, Australia.⁶ He was the subject of an obituary in The Age (Melbourne) 'at Monash Medical Centre, late of Warragul, formerly of Drouin' on 5 April 1990.⁷ His estate was probated; and The Public Record Office Victoria contains details which record him as Retired of Warragul.⁶

     George Isaac was born in 1845 at Alton, Hampshire, England; and his birth was recorded at Alton Registration district in the Sepember quarter 1845.^2,3 He was the Son of George Ralph Isaac who was recorded in 1872 on George's marriage certificate as a Builder. His mother was Sarah Kent.^1,4 He married Mary Ann Philbrick, daughter of George Philbrick and Mary Ann Palmer Perriman, on 30 November 1872 at St Paul, Dock Street, Whitechapel, London, England; and their marriage was recorded at Whitechapel Registration district in the December quarter 1872. He was a 27 year old Stationer of 94 Cable Street and she was age 20 of 1 Well Street.^1,5 George Isaac appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 94 Cabel Street, St George in the East, London, England, as Head, married, age 35, birthplace Alton, Hampshire, and he was a Stationer. His wife and three children completed the household.² He died on 19 October 1898 at 94 Cabel Street, St George in the East, London, England; and his death was recorded at St George in the East Registration district in the December quarter 1898.^6,7

     Frank Smith was born circa 1830 at England. He was the son of Richard Smith, a Cooper at the time of Frank's marriage in 1866.² He married Esther Philbrick, daughter of William Philbrick and Sarah Eve, on 29 September 1866 at St Marylebone, London, England; and their marriage by Licence was recorded at Marylebone Registration district in the September quarter 1866. He was a Cabinet Maker and she was a Widow; both were of full age and of St Marylebone.¹

      Her married name was Beeching.¹ Maisie Irene (?) was born circa 1915.^1,2 She married Peter George Beeching, son of Harry Beeching and Daisy Janet Eddles, circa 1940 at Australia.¹ Maisie Irene (?) and Peter George Beeching were an elector and he was an engineer and she worked at home duties in 1949 at 35 Browns Road, S.E.15, Bentleigh, Higinbotham, Victoria, Australia.³ Maisie Irene (?) and Peter George Beeching were an elector and he was an engineer while she worked at home duties in 1954 at 20 Bletchley Road, Oakleigh, Henty, Victoria, Australia.¹ Maisie Irene (?) died on 8 January 1999 at Victoria, Australia.² She was the subject of an obituary in The Age (Melbourne), age 84 on 11 January 1999.²

     Arthur Millard was born in 1906; and his birth was recorded at Holborn registration office in the June quarter 1906.^1,2 He was the son of Arthur Millard and Catherine Piercey.¹ Arthur Millard appeared on the census of 2 April 1911 at 47 Raglan St, Scotland Auirnce, Hull, Yorkshire, England, as son, age 4, birthplace Timsbury, Middlesex, England.¹

     Walter George Bushell was born circa 1910.
