ED'MEAD) otp, farmer, Mary wife of Richard Callingham of Shere, gent. but formerly Mother of said James Collyer and grandmother of William Collyer the infant of 19 years hereinafter mentioned and the Rev. Henry Hammond (sig) of Windlesham made oath that William Collyer above is the eldest son of James Collyer by her, born 21 September 1797 and baptised at their dwelling house at Pancras Farm by the said Henry Hammond 16 October 1797, Mary Edmead was present as nurse and made a note on the 17 October od same - Mary Callingham also present and Richard Fladgate of Chobham, gent. now deceased and William Fladgate, of Woking, farmer also now deceased as godmother and godfathers. Henry Hammond forgot by inadvertancy to enter in baptism register; sworn 1 March 1817 and affidavit of, among others, Henry Hammond at that time curate of Chobham, it should have been William.1' She was the daughter of James Collyer and Sarah Fladgate.1
