John is listed in the 1850 census for Mount Desert. He is age 46 and a seaman, Elizabeth, age 43, Cynthia, age 20, Ursula, age 19, Daniel R., age 15, a fisherman, John T., age 12, Susan A., age 8 Deborah W., age 5, Martha W., age 3, Elisa Jane, age 1, and John Temple, age 18, laborer. They were living next door to Samuel and Comfort Davis, ages 38 and 34, and their children. Samuel was also a seaman. All were born in Maine.(1)

By the 1860 census John had evidently died as Elizabeth, age 54, was the head of the household and living with her children Susan A., Deborah, Daniel, John T., Martha W., Eliza J., and Frances E. The value of her real estate was $200 and of her personal estate $50. The family was still living near Samuel and Comfort.

By 1870 Elizabeth was living in Rockland with her daughter Susan and her husband Franklin Bracy and their baby, Franklin and next door to her daughter Cynthia and her husband James Robbins. Cynthia's daughter Frances or "Fanny" was living a few doors away with her new husband Henry Eldridge and with her in-laws, Amos and Elizabeth Eldridge.(2) 1870 Census for Elizabeth Davis- Rockland

By 1880 Elizabeth was living with her daughter Martha, her husband Julian Young and their family in Cushing.(3)
