Caveat Emptor: All the above information is from undocumented sources off the internet and the IGI and NO primary sources have been found for any of this information. As of yet, I have not searched through the parish registers for the various locations to confirm the validity of what is given... ah, a project for another day! So, consider the above an outline to suggest further research.
We do know that Ralph and his family sailed on the brig James leaving England on 13 July 1635 and arriving in Boston in September. Included on the passenger list are Ralph Farnham, age 32, barber, destination Ipswich; Mrs. Alice Farnham, 28; Mary Farnham, 7; Thomas Farnham, 4; and Ralph Farnham, 2.
The family settled in Ipswich were Ralph became the first town crier.
