m. 22 June 1756 Baie St. Paul, MARIE CATHERINE RINGUET (bpt. 25 Aug. 1741 Baie St. Paul, mistress of Francois Imbeault, d. 2 Mar. 1783 La Malbaie)
d.c.1773?
At the time of Genevieve's baptism Jean Baptiste was a prisoner of war in England and Genevieve was a "fille naturel", a daughter of Francois Imbeault and Marie Rinquet. The children after Marie Julienne were all by Francois Imbeault. Marie could not legally marry Francois as she evidently had no proof that Jean-Baptiste was dead.
So, what happened to Jean Baptiste? Did he survive prison in England? A death date of c.1773 was found on the internet, however, no documentation was given.
