1. RANULF MAISNILWARIN-
Ranulf was a a Norman from Le Mesnil Guerin, which is now Pont-Farcy, St. Sever and was a Domesday tenant of Hugh d'Avranches. The Mainwarings (pronounced "Mannering") held the manor of Peover ("Pee-ver") until 1797, after the death of the last male family member, Sir Henry Mainwaring.
Some of the genealogies have Roger as a son of his brother Richard. Given the dates, there may be another generation in there, however, I have not found any primary sources to confirm or deny this.
