Lousia Maria Sager and Daniel C. Powers  
Listed below are the descendants of Louisa Maria Sager and Daniel C. Powers.  Louisa was the fourth child of Hannah Harrrison and Ferd Sager.
 

 
The descendants of Louisa Maria Sager and Daniel C. Powers:
(15.1.4.1) James Powers, born on 17 March 1843, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and married  Irene "Rena" Keys on 4 September 1864, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Irene was born in October 1847, in New York, the daughter of F.O.and Lucinda Keys.  James and family visited many of the family settlements, in particular Harrisonville (Hinton), Iowa.  James was supposedly part of the traveling show.  He visited other settlements such as Hill City, South Dakota.  He assisted on his uncle, Eli Sager's farm, as well as Alec II, Ben and Keg Harrison's places.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.1.1) Rev. Jesse D.O. Powers, born about 1865, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, he married Etta Craft, born in Seattle, Washington (family photo).  Jessie D.O. Powers lived in the Harrisonville settlement as a boy, and after much traveling to settlements returned to Harrisonville.  He traveled with the family entertainment act and one of his sisters served as the psychic in the traveling show, reportedly a talent that their mother, Louisa, had and provided in the act for the previous generation. (15.1.14) Eli Sager traveled with this act and one of his prized possessions was a photo of Louisa, and daughter in their psychic get-up (Eli's great granddaughter, Leah Donnell Ford was the last to own this photo and after her death in 1997 her sons have not located this treasure).  Jessie D.O. supposedly put on a great religious speech that drew many crowds.  Jessie D.O. conducted the sermons for the family church and each Sunday the services were held at a barn or at the Lincoln Township Cemetery (in the late1890s to early 1900s).  Their children were:

(15.1.4.1.2) Dr. Frank Powers.  Frank was a dentist, and he lived in the Marshall, Michigan area.  His children were:

(15.1.4.1.2.1) Carlton Powers, born on 22 January 1897, and  died April 1980, in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan.  He was also a dentist.

(15.1.4.1.2.2) Hess Powers (also a dentist).

       (15.1.4.1.2.3) Robert Powers (also a dentist).

       (15.1.4.1.2.4) Roger Powers (also a dentist).


(15.1.4.2) Abraham Israel Powers, born 23 November 1844, in Kalamazoo County,Michigan, died on 27 November 1926 and is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  He married Melissa Keys, she was born in 1847 in New York, and died in 1934, she is also buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.  Melissa was the daughter of F.O. Powers and Lucinda.  They had no children.  Abraham was an early settler of the Hinton (Harrisonville), Iowa settlement among others.  He returned to Michigan, and contributed financially to other family settlements.

(15.1.4.3) Hannah Elizabeth Powers, born on 11 October 1846, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, died on 8 April 1913 in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  Hannah married William Henry Carney on 29 September 1867, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  William was born on 8 May 1838, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 29 December 1899, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan (he is believed to be the son of John and Lydia Carney).  Their children were:
(15.1.4.3.1) Frank D."Frankie" Carney, born on 22 February 1869, died on 20 August 1869.  He is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.

(15.1.4.3.2) Maurice Powers Carney, born on 1 May 1870, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 30 December 1915.  He married Carrie Westridge of Kalamazoo, Michigan on 17 March 1899.  Their children were:

            (15.1.4.3.2.1) Richard Westridge Carney, born on 15 September 1899.
            (15.1.4.3.2.2) Beatrice Carney, born on 22 October 1900.

(15.1.4.3.3) Grace Carney,  born on 7 October 1872, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She married  Victor E. Spaulding of Battle Creek, Michigan, on 30 June 1898.  Grace was a school teacher and eventually moved her family to Pasadena, California.  Their children were:

(15.1.4.3.3.1) Donald Spaulding, born on 21 May 1900, he married Irmagard Justina Sager (a cousin) on 14 August 1929.
(15.1.4.3.3.2) Harold Spaulding,  born on 2 March 1903.
(15.1.4.3.3.3) Raymond Spaulding, born on 6 August 1905.
(15.1.4.3.4) Daniel Ashley Carney, born 30 January 1874, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  He married Fern Green on 20 February 1908.  They also moved to Pasadena, California.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.3.4.1) Robert Green Carney, born 1 February 1909.
(15.1.4.3.4.2) James Green Carney, born 13 May 1911.
(15.1.4.3.5) William Henry Carney II, born and died on 19 April 1882, buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.


(15.1.4.4) Charlotta Powers, born 1 April 1850, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  She married Hiram E. Taylor on 22 December 1870.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.4.1) Lenora Taylor, born on 22 March 1872, and died on 16 March 1875.  She is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.

(15.1.4.4.2) Daniel Ashley Taylor, born on 5 April 1877, he married Stella Earl on 31 August 1898.  Their child was:

(15.1.4.4.2.1) Hiram E. Taylor, born 1 August 1899, he married Aleta Pierce on 29 September 1921.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.4.2.1.1) Vernon E. Taylor, born 23 August 1922.
(15.1.4.4.2.1.2) Joyce E. Taylor,  born on 2 October 1926.

(15.1.4.5) Charles Powers, born on 23 October 1853, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, died in 1954.  He is buried in Yorkville Cemetery in Ross Township, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.  He married Flora Barnes on 13 November 1876, Flora was born on 15 Septemeber 1852, and died in 1930.  She is also buried in Yorkville Cemetery.  Their child was:
(15.1.4.5.1) Howard A. Powers, born on 15 July 1880, and died on 21 July 1922, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan (never married).  He is buried in Yorkville Cemetery (date of death record as 1902 on another record).


(15.1.4.6) Bessie Powers, born on 24 October 1857, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 15 August 1952.  She married Frank Taylor on 28 November 1876.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.6.1) Bessie Marie Taylor, died 16 August 1881, she is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery (age 16 months 25 days).
(15.1.4.6.2) Charles Taylor, born on 20 March 1881, and died on 16 October 1881.  He is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery.

(15.1.4.7) Marilla Powers, born on 8 September 1859, and died on 6 March 1862.  She is buried in  Carney-Gilson Cemetery, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.

(15.1.4.8) Roxie Powers , born on 23 April 1861, in Kalamazoo County, Michigan, and died on 15 May 1913.  Roxie married William Doy on 31 March 1878.  Their children were:
(15.1.4.8.1) Glenna Doy, born on 17 November 1879, and died in February 1895.
(15.1.4.8.2) Bessie Doy, born on 15 June 1881, she married Maurice H. Paul.  Their child was:
(15.1.4.8.2.1) Homer Paul (died at age 7).

(15.1.4.9) Edwin Powers, born on 2 April 1862, and died on 23 April 1862, and is buried in Carney-Gilson Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
