She married Edward Henry Kluth, son of Charles Henry Kluth and Emma Hannah Meinke, on 29 December 1961. She died on 30 October 1985 in Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, South Dakota, at age 72. She was buried in East Lake Andes Cemetery, Lake Andes, South Dakota.
