Notes for Robert Levi Larned, by son, Robert Learned to Cindy BentMarcell; " On my father's s ide Ft. Larned, KS was named after arelative. Our family used both Larned/Learned. The Lear ned's arrived inMassachusetts Bay Colony from England in 1632. Prior to the Revolution it was common for men to remove the letter "E" from their name in protest to the King. Tomas Paine arrived in America in 1775 and changed his name to Thomas Pain before he wrote the book, "Common Sense", published in 01-06-1776 for Ben Franklin's birthday. The tools for the Revolution came from this book."
Comments: Worked for the Rail Road. Atheletically qualified for 1932 Olympics in LA. but was unable to obtain sponsorship so as to participate, returned to Omaha and got married; they returned to CA in1939 & remained there per son, Robert.

Worked for the railroad as did his father. Cremation with ashes over "Babe's" grave per notes of Fritz
