In a later article on the Rudkin family in the The Genealogist 1905 by Edmund T. Bewley the full extent of intermarriage is described:

Henry Rudkin (Sen) and Elizabeth Shearman of Wells, Co Carlow had two sons: Mark Rudkin (1678-1722) and Henry Rudkin (Jun) (1685-1738).

Eldest son Mark Rudkin married Elizabeth Phillips about 1705 and had one son - Henry Rudkin (abt. 1720-1791). In 1733 Henry Rudkin married Elizabeth Rudkin daughter of Henry Rudkin and Elizabeth Bernard. They had one son William Rudkin who married Mary Bennett daughter of Thomas Bennett and Mary Bernard (Mary was the daughter of Joseph Bernard and Mary Edwards).

In 1712 Henry Rudkin (son of Henry Rudkin (Sen) married Elizabeth Bernard, eldest daughter of Thomas Bernard and Deborah Franks of Oldtown, County Carlow  Deed of Settlement, dated 27th October 1711.  They had at least seven children:
  • Deborah Rudkin married Oliver Cramer, second son of Oliver Cramer of Ballyfoyle, County Kilkenny, by his wife Hester Coghill: 
    • Marmaduke Cramer
    • Hester Cramer
  • Mary Rudkin married Gilbert Pickering, later Sir Gilbert Pickering, Baronet.
  • Elizabeth Rudkin, married on 1st August 1733 to her first cousin Henry Rudkin of Corries, only son of Mark Rudkin.
  • Bernard Rudkin, the eldest son, married Sarah ??
  • Anne Rudkin, married in 1745 William Ward of Wells. He was a Roman Catholic, and she a Protestant, the marriage was deemed to be void. She was described as a "spinster" in the Bill in Chancery filed in 1760, and her will dated 20th October 1761, was made by her as an unmarried woman.
  • William Rudkin, served in the Army for about two years married in 1759 Diana Barnes. Diana the daughter of Anne Barnes nee Bernard (otherwise Manwaring. Anne's first husband)
  • Harriet, who died in infancy
