The Kanawha Valley Star
Tuesday, December 5, 1859

Died on Sunday the 16th of October, at the residence of her son-in-law, Jas H. Miller, Esq., Mrs. Kitty B. Craig, relic of the late Jas H. Craig, in the 67th year of her age. For 34 years the deceased was amember of the Baptist Church. In her death the community has lost a woman of sterling worth, her children a kind, tender-hearted mother and the Church one of its most exemplary and faithful members.

She was born in Putnam County, West Virginia on October 17, 1832 and died in her own cherished home in Mason County, West Virginia on February 2, 1872 in the 40th year of her age...abdominal dropsy the consumption...for more than 20 years a devoted member of M. E. Church South...one week before [after?] her mother-in-law, Mrs. Sarah Miller, died. Left husband and 6 children. (Poem)
