Born September 9, 1849 in Kanawha County, daughter of John L. and Mary Patterson....her mother died when she was but 8 months old; her father died 2 years later. Orphaned, C. H. Baber adopted her. She married James M. Figgatt on 28th October, 1869. She died of Scrofual consumption. Last words and Poem follow....
