I John Jarrett of Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, Virginia considering the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say),
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Jarrett, all my property of every kind, to have the full use and benefit of the same during her life and at her death, it is my will that whatever may be left shall be equally divided amongst all our children.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sael this 19th day of December, 1856.
