Officer Carwithen last night received word that his uncle, Mr. Sam Hunter, of Elk Two Mile had just died from the effects of injuries sustained in a fall from the roof of a school house, in that regio
Mr. Hunter was repairing the roof, on April 14, just one month prior to his death, when he lost his balance and fell twenty feet to the ground, crushing his ribs and breast bone ang mangling his limbs. He was given the best medical attention, but he never recovered the use of his body or limbs, save his hands, and last evening passed quietly away. He will be buried tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the family burying ground near his home, by the American /mechanics, of which order he was an active member.
The deceased was sixty five years of age, coming to this county from Giles County, Virginia, over sixty years ago, living in Elk District since that time.
