Husband's General Notes
See Ancester Tree Vol. III, pg 208, published by the WV Genealogical Society. It states that William John Williard, born ca 1798 in Prince Edward Co. VA, married Julia Ann Reveal, born ca 1812 in Borewell, PA, on 29 Aug. 1847.
Marriage not recorded in Kanawha Co. Doubt if this info is correct: in 1866 when daughters Letitia and Mary were married, they gave there place of birth as Franklin Co. (and parents as William and Julia.) (Mary was born ca 1851.) Also, they are not listed in the 1850 Kanawha Co. Census. However, there is a William Willard listed in Franklin Co. VA on pg 72. And low and behold, there is a family of 3 young Bozwells living next door, including Julia.
Have found a Kanawha Co. marriage as follows: William Willard, age 49, single(?), born Prince Edward Co. VA, no parents listed, married Julia Boswell, age 35, single, born Pittsylvania Co. VA, no parents listed, on 29 Aug. 1867. Has this info somehow been confused in the above? This marriage record makes him born ca 1816 and this, rather than ca 1798, agrees with the census records.
Same Man??? William Willard married Hannah Tyree on 5 Jan. 1835 in Franklin Co. VA. (Per CD#229) There were Tyrees in Kanawha Co. by 1850. Both a William and a Hannah Willard are listed as heads-of-households in 1850 in Franklin Co, VA; he at #194-194 and she at #166-166.
