General Notes for Child Lewis Summers

The Kanawha Republican
September 2, 1843
Died on Sunday the 27th ult. at 6 o'clock in the morning at the White Sulphur Springs, Virginia, the Honorable Lewis Summers, for more than 24 years past one of the Judges of the General Court of Virginia.
Judge Summers was born on the 7th of November, 1778, in Fairfax County, Virginia, being the eldest son of George and Ann S. Summers. His father was several times a member of the Legislature of Virginia, as a Delagate from Fairfax County. His mother, from whom he unquestionably derived many of the strong points of his character, only preceeded him to the grave about five weeks.
(Three more papagraghs follow listing his political career, religious life, and transport to Walnut Grove for burial. There is no mention of any marriage, wife or children.)
