From West Virginia Newspapers Obituaries 1822-1899, Vol.1, pg31:

The Charleston Daily Gazette
Wednesday, February 24, 1892

On the eighth of February 1892, suddenly and silently the Great Reaper came and took from family and friends Mrs. E. V. Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson was the daughter and youngest child of Daniel Ruffner, one of the earliest settlers of this vivinity.
She was born at the old "Ruffner House" just beyond the limits of the city, where she lived until she was married in 1835, thence she moved to a home given by her father, a short distance above her old home, where she reared a family of eight children. For a number of years she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. C. C. Lewis. (Edited)
