Shamblin, Benjamin Oscar, 71, of 1810 Kosmo Dri., died Saturday night of a heart attack in his home. He was a retired farmer and member of Goff Advent Church. Surviving are his widow Bessie; five daughters, Mrs. Macel Moss of Alum Creek, Mrs. Mary Ann Comer of Sissonville, Mrs. Mamie Fisher and Mrs. Magdalene Spencer, both of Kenna, and Mrs. Gladys Cadle of Indiana; three sons, Grant of Dunbar, Howard and Mark, both of Sissonville; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Marion and Mrs. Icie Duff, both of Charleston, and Mrs. Stella Good of Roane County; a brother, Elza Shamblin of Ripley; three half-sisters, Mrs. Della Sider of Sissonville, Mrs. Leone Taylor of Aarons Fork, and Mrs. Belva Harper of Elkview; three half-brothers, Benton Smith and Buster Shamblin, both of Charleston, and Willie Shamblin of Elkview; 39 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The body is at Long and Fisher Funeral Home.
