The Kanawha Banner
February 13, 1834
Died at his residence in this village on Tuesday last of a lingering pulmonary complaint, Dr. Samuel Chilton, aged about 62, formerly of Faquier (sic) County, Virginia. He was justly considered one of the most amiable of men, in all the relation of life and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
