Maureen Mitchell's web pages

(Fleggburgh)

 (Fleggburgh)

Welcome

Welcome to my web pages.   My name is Maureen Mitchell (nee JUBB), a Yorkshire Tyke living in Norfolk, UK.

My aim is to create a diverse website, including my family history (with a short diversion into Luddite history), Yorkshire roots (looking at dialect and memories of childhood), the history of the village of Burgh St Margaret (Fleggburgh) Norfolk, where I now live and the story of Old Burgh Mill, a corn mill that used to be on our land.

My passions are Yorkshire, Family History, Family History and if there is any time left ... a little bit of Family History.

... and don't forget - as Shaw said:

"The danger in tracing your family tree is that you may find an ancestor hanging from a branch, either by his neck or by his tail.”
George Bernard Shaw

Probably the easiest way to navigate around the site is by using the site map

(by the way, isn't it difficult to type with one hand?     Particularly when you also have to use this typing hand to stroke the cat that you are struggling to support with the other!)

If you would like to use any of my church photographs to illustrate your site or family history you are welcome to do so, providing you acknowledge my copyright.   However,
Commercial use of any aspect of this site is expressly prohibited
