In my family history research I have found it fascinating to hear about the life of ordinary people perhaps only one or two generations older than myself. This is the sort of Time Span we can all relate to, as it makes sense of what we heard from our parents and grandparents. So I began thinking that, although most of our stories appear rather mundane to ourselves, they open up another world to those people one or two generations behind us. As such, they should be recorded for future generations. ......... (I'm working on the rest of this ... honest!)
