IMMIGRATION RECORDS

The National Archives have an incomplete series of immigration passengers list of ships 
arriving from abroad. Archive records have most ship's manufest which may contain some 
additional information. Most lists date well after 1800. Some later records to New York are 
not indexed. Records before 1800 are made from local, state and other records. Before the 
American Revolutionary War less than 1% of all immigration records remain. The following 
list is by year and made from various sources that include the MacAdam, McAdam, McAdams, 
McCadam and other forms of the name. The listing of origin of Great Britian can mean Ireland, 
Scotland or England.
