He appeared on the census in 1880 in Floyd Co., GA.⁽²²⁾ 1880 Floyd Co., GA census shows Sirenous Green, age 52, born in GA, married to Adline, with 5 children. He appeared on the census in 1900 in Floyd Co., GA.⁽²³⁾ 1900 Floyd Co., GA census shows Cereanus Green, father (of Melvin Green), white male, born Mar 1830, 70 years old, and married for 40 years. He was born in GA, and his parents were born in GA. He can read, write, and speak English.
He died on 14 Feb 1901.⁽²⁴⁾ He was buried in Rome, Floyd Co., GA at Sand Springs Church Cemetery.⁽²⁵⁾

He was married to Adaline CORDLE (daughter of Absalom J. CORDLE and Mary Jane DUNCAN) between 1850 and 1855.⁽²⁶⁾ Adaline CORDLE⁽²⁷⁾ was born in Jan 1833 in GA.^{(16)
(2)(28) (29)} Cordle Family Book gives Adaline' birth as 1837 on page 5, and 1833 on page 75. Her tombstone says she was 78 when she died in 1911, making the birth year 1833. The 1900 Floyd Co., GA census shows it as Jan 1831, with an age of 69 (or 67?). Family search.org gives place of birth as VA, but all the censuses give it as GA.
