He appeared on the census in 1900 in Floyd Co., GA.(46)1900 Floyd Co., GA census shows Richard Green, head of household, white, male, born Dec 1858, age 41, married 18 years. He was born in GA, and his parents were born in GA. He can read, write and speak English. He owns his own Farm, free of mortgage. He is listed on Farm schedule 142. 
He signed a will on 27 Jan 1910 in Floyd Co., GA. State of Georgia, Floyd County.
Be it Remembered, That I, Richard Green of said state and county, do make this my last will and testament, in manner following. That is to say, - I bequeath to my Son Earnest T. Green one Bay mare mule 8 years old name Jude, one Jersey cow name Nell, one Plow stock singletree backhand and one pair of trace chains. I also Devise to him land as follows. Starting on the original North and South line of Lot of land No. 241 at the point where the Creek crosses Said Original line, and going along the Creek to a Ditch which comes from near Edgar Brown's Shop. Thence along Said Ditch to the West original line near said shop. Said land lies on south side of Creek, and west side of said Ditch, and is supposed to contain about 40 Forty acres. Houses and all other improvements of this land is also Devised:-
All my Personal property not above named which consists mainly in Household and kitchen furniture Farm Tools, Buggy, Wagon, in Short all Personal property I now own Except that Portion above Set apart to Earnest T. Green. I Bequeath to my Wife Martha L. Green and my Daughter Auda B. Beard Jointly: Each to own one half of Said land.
It is my Will, and I order and direct that there be no Administration on my Estate.

He died on 2 Feb 1910.

He was married to Martha "Mattie" L. SHAW on 14 Nov 1880.(47) Cordle Family History has the marriage date, with the year as 1880, but the 1900 Floyd Co., GA census said they had been married 18 years. 
Martha "Mattie" L. SHAW (48) was born in 1855 in GA. She appeared on the census in 1900 in Floyd Co., GA.(49) 1900 Floyd Co., GA census shows Martha Green, wife of Richard, white, female, born June 1855, age 44, married 18 years. She has had 2 children, with 2 still living. She was born in GA, and her parents were born in GA. She can read, write, and speak English. 
She died in 1936. "Mattie" came from the marriage license. "Martha L." came from Richard Green's will. Richard GREEN and Martha "Mattie" L. SHAW had the following children:
