He died after 1850. James was on the 1850 census. James is believed to be the grandson of Frederick Green of Oglethorpe County, Ga. who died as a prisoner of the British during the American Revolution. He was held and died at Sullivan's Island off the coast at Charleston, S.C., leaving a 12-year-old son, Rodger.
