"One afternoon my brother Albert, two years younger, and I were playing in the back yard when four of the drunks came full speed across teh yard. Just as we got inside and closed the door, there was a violent jertk at one corner of the house. We looked to see the cause of it and saw three of the men standing over the fourth who had run into the clothesline stretched from the house to the barn. He was going at such speed and yelling so loud that the line caught him in the mouth so that his jaw was torn on either side. As they turned and rode back toward the doctor's office. brother called "I bet you keep your big mouth shut for a while."
