To all to whom these presents shale come == GREETING:
KNOW YE, That for and in consideration of the sum of twelve
and a half cents per acre, paid into the office of the Entry-Taker of
Warren county, and entered on the 30th day of December 1824 pursuant to the
provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of said state, passed on the
22 day of November, 1823 by no 819
there is granted by the State of Tennessee, unto Esther McGee
a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing Seventeen acres
by survey bearing date the 8th day of May 1826 lying in said county, on
the waters of Collins River & bounded as follows to wit. Beginning
at a buckeye at the foot of the mountain, the South West corner
of John McGee's preference right lines With said moun-
tain, South twenty poles to a buckeye then on with the same
west wenty poles to a black ash, Then on with the same
south twenty poles to an ash then with said mountain
west forty poles to a white oak then on with the same
north 40 poles to an elm then on with the saim east
twenty poles to a Dogwood Then with the same North
ten poles to a spanish oak then with the same east ten
poles to an elm then on with said M.t North ten poles to a
hickory. Then on with the same east ten ten poles to a stake
hen north ten poles to a hickory then east twenty poles
to a stake on the said McGee's at original line then
with said five south 30 poles to the Beginning ~
With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To Have and to Hold the said Tract or Parcel
of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said Esther McGee and her heirs forever.
In Witness Whereof, William Carroll Governor of the State of Tennessee,
hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at Nashville,
on the 19th day of March in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven and of the indepnedence of the United
