Funeral services were conducted for Leslie Fattig Saturday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. Cambridge Methodist Church by Rev. Paul Martin, Holdrege. Paullbearers were Lloyd Richardson, Cordy Kester, LeRoy Witte, Kenneth Carter, Claude Johnson, Irwin tenBensil. Music was furnished by Glen, Richard and Larry Moore, and Clarke Perdue with Mrs. Leon Ridpath organist. Interment was in the Cambridge cemetery. The obituary follows: CHARLES LESLIE FATTIG Charles Leslie Fattig, son of Charles and Mary J. Fattig, was born September 13, 1899 at Grant City, Mo., and departed this life Aug. 2, 1956 at 2:15 p.m. at the age of 56 years, 10 mos. and 19 days. When a small child he moved with the family to Harlan and Franklin Counties. At the age of six the family moved to a farm southeast of town. The most of his life was spent near and in Cambridge. He was united in marriage to Edna M. Sayer, April 11, 1923. Three children came to bless this home. Charles J. dying in infancy. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, his two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Stephens of Oregonia, Ohio, Sharon Kay at home, two grandsons, Charles and James Stephens of Oregonia, Ohio, three brothers, Grover and Alfred Fattig of Cambridge and Floyd Fattig of Salt Lake City, Utah. A number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceeded in death by his father, mother, sister Mrs. Mina Gutzman and bother Jess. Leslie as he was known, united with the Cambridge Methodist Church in 1924. He was a faithful member when ever his health permitted. He was a kind and loving husband and father.
