Attended Prairie Bell School District No. 54 in Frontier County, Nebraska.
After his tour of military duty he farmed north of Cambridge,Nebraska near Deer Creek. In 1966 he and family moved to Kearney,Nebraska where they bought the El Rancho Trailer Court. They retired in1988.
He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion at Kearney.
