Obituary on Cleon Hembree
Final Rites Held For Late Cleon Hembree, WW1 Veteran
The final rites for the late Cleon Hembree, 75, who had resided in Exeter since 1959, were held at the Evans-Miller Chapel, on Aug. 29. He died Aug.
27 in an Exeter hospital.
Don Smith officiated at the services and burial was in the Exeter Cemetery.
He was born and reared in Stockton, Mo. and he moved to Lindsay 37 years ago. He lived in Strathmore for ten years prior to establishing a home in
Exeter. He married the former Rhonda Razor in 1959 and they made their home at 229 So. H. St.
Mr. Hembree served with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War 1 and he was a member of World War 1 Barracks No. 629 of Exeter.
He is survied in addition to his widow by two stepsons, Claude and Bill Razor, both of Exeter; three brothers, Ivan and Lewis Hembree, both of
Lindsay, and Lawrence Hembree of Stockton, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Depew and Mrs. Elizabeth Hurt, both of Lindsay, three grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.
