EZRA HOUSE SUCCUMBS
Ezra House was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Oct. 6, 1837 and
died May 17, 1919,
He was married to Julia Ann Taitman about 65 years ago, she
departed this life 31 years ago. To this union were born twelve
children, six of whom are living, four boys and two girls, Frank,
William, Joshua, Henry, Mrs. Geo Smelser and Mrs. McDowell. Only
two were able to attend the funeral services, Mrs. Smelser of Red
Cloud and Henry House of Cambridge.
Mr. House enlisted in the Civil War and served in the 159
Ohio Infantry. For many years he has resided near Inavale, at
which place he passed away Monday.
The funeral services were held in the Christian Church at
Inavale, Rev. J.L. Beebe of Red Cloud officiating and interment
was in the Hummell cemetery south of Inavale. Mr. House was a
good citizen, kind father, friend and neighbor and has gone to
his eternal reward. -- Riverton Review.
