John Hall was of Dover, New Hampshire and came from England. There were three John Halls at Dover in 1650, but the one we are concerned with married Elizabeth Laighten, daughter of Thomas ? was born in 1617 and died 1693 was town clerk commissioner and selectman at various times. His son John Jr. born 1649 is first mentioned in 1670 when he had a grant of 40 acres and one of 100 acres. He lived at Dover Neck. He was an innkeeper and a farmer. He was representative to the New Hampshire assembly in 1698 but died before expiration of the year. He drowned in a river near GreenPoint, Dover, New Hampshire. He married Abigail, daughter of John Roberts. Their Daughter Abigail Hall married Batchelder Hussey.
