^~ (superscript tilde): This symbol is much like the ditto marks (") that we use today to indicate repetition of an item from a previous line. In the top part of this document, I made an effort to line up these marks with what they represent from the previous line.
" (double quotation mark; indicating ditto marks): Like the superscript tilde shown above, this mark indicates repetition of an item from a previous line.
D^o: This is an abbreviation for the term "ditto", and therefore serves the same purpose as the above two symbols.
