Braswell Overstreet
MS 1840 Wayne Co., Unknown townships, Image 138, Roll M704_217, P. 241.

Braswell and Sarah Buie O are reported to have been buried "at the mouth of Bogue Homa River. Ashie and I went to the present day mouth and there is no cemetery there. We met some folks who told us that the mouth had been a couple of mile farther north but was inaccessible now and that there were some old cemeteries there. 6 year old Nancy is buried at White House cemetery. She was the first person to be buried there. It has been said that if you are an overstreet you are kin to everyone in the world. (except maybe other overstreets). There may be some validity to this. 1/2 of 1 % of everyone in the world is descended from (descended from, not just related to) Genghis Kahn, a Mongol Warlord from the 13th (from memory) century. Maybe that can explain why there are keloids in my family. daveo

193. Sarah (Bowie) Buie 1 was born in 1779 in Burke County, Georgia. She died 2 after 1860 in Wayne County, Mississippi. [Parents]

[The Braswells and the Overstreets were in NC and SC and Ga. same time, and were intermarried. One account says Braswell O. the First was b. NC. Braswell O. m.Sarah Buie, she supposedly Indian. If Henry of Cashey Swamp was the father of Henry Indian Trader >Henry m. Jane Braswell>Braswell I, what's the deal with Henry from Old Fort/Augusta? Did Henry from Cashey Swamp go to Old Fort to trade Indians? Who was looking for Valentine Braswell? There he is, a few paragraphs back. His wife was Jane Pope. Jane B. who married Henry must have been their daughter. Felicitations and confusions, JANE
