ELLIS, THOMAS W.

Thomas Ellis was born in Waterloo Co., and was there raised. He was educated at the Public Schools and Collegiate Institute.

While he is comparatively a late settler in Minto, coming here in 1887, he has taken a leading position in the community, of which he has the full confidence and respect.

He is a member of the Methodist church, and takes an active interest in church work, being Steward and Superintendent of the Sabbath School.

He married Isabella Cochran, daughter of Robert Cochran,in 1890, and purchased the old Robert Cochran farm of 160 acres, which he has run successfully ever since. He is practically a self-made man.
