290. Edmund [Marion] PACE ⁽⁶⁵⁾⁽⁸⁵⁾⁽⁸⁶⁾ was born on 29 Feb 1764 in Surry Co,NC. He died on 28 Aug 1834 in Greene Co,AL. According to Bible record of Alsa Pace, Edmund was born 29 Feb 1764, the son of John and Sarah Pace, and died 28 Aug 1834.

According to Noble Hamilton Pace (1962), Rev. Edmund (Edwin) Pace was born 24 Feb 1764 and died after 1830 in Green Co, AL. He was thought to have been born in Surrey Co, NC, where he was listed as head of family in the 1790 census. Married Sarah Walker and moved first into Tennessee and then into Alabama settling into Green County. His son, Edwin Pace, was also a minister and both of these may be found among the early church records of the county. This family later moved into Kemper County, Mississippi.

Lineage chart of Seymour Rose shows the marriage date of 1784 for Edmund Pace and Sarah Elizabeth Walker, which may be correct, but shows parents of Edmund as John Pace (b. 1711 Middlesex Co, VA) who married 1739 to Susanna Reason, and grandparents of Edmund as John Pace who married 1707 to Elizabeth Newsome. This is clearly incorrect based on the Bible record of Alsa Pace, who gives Edmund's parents as John and Sarah.

Unsure of source of middle name. He was married to Sarah Elizabeth WALKER in 1784.

291. Sarah Elizabeth WALKER ⁽⁶⁵⁾⁽⁸⁵⁾⁽⁸⁶⁾ was born in Aug 1766 in Surry Co,NC. She died in Oct 1840 in Greene Co,AL. Alsa Pace Bible shows Sarah Pace, wife of Edmund Pace and dau of David and Ann Walker, b. Aug 1766.

Noble Hamilton Pace (1962) shows that Sarah Walker was born 1766 and died after 1830 in Greene County, AL.

Middle name Elizabeth is from lineage chart prepared by Seymour T. Rose. Children were:

i. Sarah Ann PACE⁽⁶⁵⁾ was born in 1790. See note under Justinia.
ii. Justinia PACE⁽⁶⁵⁾ was born in 1792. She died in Oct 1870. Noble Hamilton Pace (1962) shows two separate daughters Sarah Ann b 1790 md Silas Mercer Fain ? Jestinia b 1792 md William Haggard ? d. Oct 25 1875, but then goes on in a separate paragraph to show: Justinia (Sarah Ann) Pace, born 1792, d. Oct. 1870, md. John William Haggard Jr., so it is not clear if there were two separate daughters or just one, and whether she died in 1875 or 1870, or maybe her husband died in 1875?
iii. Alsa PACE⁽⁶⁵⁾ was born on 30 Mar 1796. Marriage date given in Alsa Pace Bible, all other information from Noble Hamilton Pace (1962).
145 iv. Martha "Patsy" PACE.
v. Edwin PACE⁽⁶⁵⁾ was born on 22 Mar 1803. He died on 2 Feb 1890. Per Noble Hamilton Pace (1962), he was a Baptist minister.
