28. William Albert BAREFORD was born on 26 Feb 1861 in Winslow,Camden,NJ. He died on 22 Jan 1928 in Ocean City,Cape May,NJ. He was married to Mary Carey SHAW on 24 Dec 1883 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ. All information on this family, unless otherwise noted, was provided by William J. 29. Mary Carey SHAW was born on 2 Mar 1860 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ. She died on 4 Aug 1943 in Ocean City,Cape May,NJ. Children were:

i. Albert Leon BAREFORD (photo) was born on 14 Jul 1885 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ. He died on 3 Oct 1944 in Ocean City,Cape May,NJ. He was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery,Millville,NJ. From his obituary, published in the Ocean City (NJ) Sentinel (Oct 1944):

"City Employee Passes Away.

Albert Leon Bareford, a watchman at the city public works department warehouse for a number of years, died Tuesday afternoon at his home, 1200 Asbury Avenue, after a long period of failing health.

Mr. Bareford had been a resident here for 24 years. For many years he conducted a grocery store at that address, which had been started by his father.

His wife, Dorothea, died in 1942. The only close survivor is a brother, Harold, an army officer.

Funeral services will be this afternoon (Friday) at the Cadman Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Paul Kinzler, of the Ocean City Baptist Church. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Millville."
ii. Beulah M. BAREFORD was born on 16 Aug 1887 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ. She died on 2 Jul 1890 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ.
iii. Percy C. BAREFORD was born on 2 Nov 1891 in Millville,Cumberland,NJ. He died on 21 Jul 1892 in Ocean City,Cape May,NJ.
