Delano genealogy gives birth date of 30 Sept 1816. Gascoigne datebook gives the birthdate of 31 Aug 1816. Enumerated with William S. Brayton, aged 64, in the 1850 Census of Wayne County, NY (Sodus, p. 207).

According to the Brayton Genealogy, Rufus Sturges and Polly Brayton gave birth to a Daniel Henry Sturges on 30 Aug 1816 on which date Polly (Brayton) Sturges reportedly died. It remains to be seen where the name Daniel came into the picture and what the exact birth date was for this individual. He was married to Elvina Ann DELANO on 14 May 1840 in Sodus Centre,,NY.

103. Elvina Ann DELANO ^(50)(29) was born on 19 Aug 1819. She died on 19 Jul 1900. She was buried in Brick Church Cemetery,Sodus Center,NY. Children were:

i. Mary Brayton STURGES^{(51) (29)} was born on 4 Dec 1842. She died on 19 Feb 1909. She was buried in Brick Church Cemetery,Sodus Center,NY. Listed as school teacher in the 1860 Census of Wayne County, NY. Death date taken from Eliza Gascoigne's datebook. Referred to in some records as "Molly".

iii. Manley Edwin STURGES^{(52) (29)} was born on 10 Jan 1850 in Lyons,Wayne,NY. He died on 17 Jun 1921. He resided 15 West 32rd St, New York, NY. He was buried in Brick Church Cemetery,Sodus Center,NY.
iv. William Delano STURGES^{(53) (29)} was born on 13 Jan 1856 in Lyons,Wayne,NY. He died on 23 Mar 1904.
