Harry S. Clutter, 82, of Nineveh, RD 1, died at 5 AM Friday, May 14, 1971, at his residence. He had been seriously ill for five months.
Mr. Clutter was born June 23, 1883, in Morris Township, a son of the late George B. and Nancy Ewing Clutter.
He was a retired blacksmith.
He was married Aug. 25, 1909, to Dora Mae Clutter, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Von Clutter, of Accident, Md.; three daughters; Mrs. Paul "Fern" McKissick, of Claysville, RD 1; Mrs. Earl "Iva" Mankey, of Nineveh, and Mrs. John "Inez" Minton, of Hundred, W. Va.: 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Charles L. Clutter, of Washington, and Arthur Clutter, of Nineveh; five sisters; Mrs. Edna Clutter, of Claysville; Mrs. Vesta Beabout, of Nineveh; Mrs. Anna Paul, of Washington; Mrs. Wilda Conkey, of Nineveh, and Mrs. Alta Hickman, of Washington. Four brothers and a sister are deceased.
(Note, could hs date of birth been mis-transcribed? If he were 82 in 1971, he would have been born in 1889, which is what the 1900 census showed)
