Elizabeth A. Fife
Treasurer of Fife Moving and Storage
Elizabeth A. Fife, 98, formerly of 534 West Grant Street, Houston, died Thursday, October 17, 2002, in IHS Greenery, Canonsburg, following a lengthy illness. She was born March 2, 1904, in Butler, a daughter of William Charles and Catherine Boyd Atkinson.
Mrs. Fife was a member of First United Methodist Church, Canonsburg, where she served as secretary for many years.
She was a 1922 graduate of Butler High School and had served as treasurer for the family business, Fife Moving and Storage in Meadow Lands.
Mrs. Fife was a member of Chartiers Chapter 97 Order of Eastern Star in Canonsburg, a former member and treasurer of White Shrine in Washington, a charter member of Pythian Sisters of Canon Lodge 204 and a member of Canonsburg General Hospital TWIG.
She enjoyed playing cards and had been a member of several bridge and 500 card clubs. Mrs. Fife enjoyed reading, gardening and needlepoint.
On September 15, 1932, she married Raymond E. Fife, who died December 10, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Charles W. Fife of Houston; a daughter, Katherine Orr of Youngstown, Ohio; three grandsons, Paul Fife and Robert and John Orr;a granddaughter, Beth Aranda; five great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

FIFE - Friends of Elizabeth A. Fife, formerly of 534 West Grant Street, Houston, who died Thursday, October 17, 2002, will be received from noon to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, with Dr. Joseph Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. www.woodrufffamilyservices.com.
