Extended Illness Fatal To Mrs. Robert H. Fife, Cecil Township Citizen - Canonsburg, Oct. 19 - After an illness of two months, Mrs. Emma K. Fife, wife of Robert H. Fife, of Cecil Township, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. McFall, at Houston, Sunday night (18 Oct). Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Can-onsburg United Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member in charge of the pastor, the Rev. H. Ross Hume. Interment will be in Speer Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Fife was born in Wheeling, W. Va. Nov. 11, 1858, being a daughter of the late James and Nancy West. She had resided in Cecil Township for the past 40 years and was well and favorably known. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. A. J. McFall, of Houston and Charles Shippman, by a former marriage; Mrs. C. C. Miller, of Corliss; Arthur Fife, Canonsburg, R. D. 2; Richard Fife of Ridge avenue; Mrs. Myrtle Weaver, North Jefferson avenue and Joseph Fife, at home, the latter four being step-children. Eleven grandchildren also survive. The body will remain at the Harper & Hinton funeral home in West Pike street, until the time of the funeral, when it will be taken to the church. The Washington Observer, Washington, PA 20 Oct 1931
