Matthew Michael Carson passed away Aug. 10, 2016 in San Francisco. He was 36.
Matt was a searcher, continually looking for something. Whether it was music, art, or the next laugh, he was always in search of something to make himself more complete. While his quest often kept his life out of balance, it also made him quick with a smile and friendship. He loved learning about new things from new people and sought out those that could help him broaden his scope. His laugh was infectious. It could fill up a room and whether you wanted to or not, you couldn't help but smile along. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was blessed with two amazing children, Corah and Rothew, who were his light and inspiration. Matthew will be deeply missed by them and their mother, Tara Walker.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Suzan Carson of Woodland; grandmother Charlotte Fritz; his siblings, Christopher Silzle, Heather (Scott) Carpenter, Scott (Tanya) Carson and Katie Carson and her partner Isaac, as well as his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Cathie Williams.
We love you Matt and may peace and love be with you.
A memorial service will be held from 1 to 3 p. m. at Seaman's Lodge in Nevada City on Aug. 27.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that condolences be made in the form of donations to a trust account that will be established to help provide for his son and daughter. Please direct inquiries to his immediate family.
