Lizzie J. Simpson, 87, of West Finley Township, Claysville RD 1, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1963 at 9:45 PM after an illness of three weeks.
She was born in East Finley township, Jan 31, 1876, a daughter of Alfred and Anna Sprowls Stollar, and spent all her life in East and West Finley townships. She was a member of the Windy Gap Presbyterian Church, where he attended faithfully as long as her health permitted.
She was married Oct. 30, 1895 to Frank Simpson, who died in 1946. Surviving are two daughters, Inez, wife of Charles D. Wallace, Melbern, Ohio, and Nannie, wife of Thomas C. Clutter, Canton, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Earl Montgomery, West Finley; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Three sisters are deceased.
More: Friends of Lizzie J. Simpson, West Finley township, Claysville, RD1, who died Monday, Sept. 23, 1963, will be received from 7-9 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Ray A. Brownlee Funeral Home, Claysville, where services will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, at 1:30 PM by Rev. Philip Maronde. Burial in West Finley Cemetery.
