Observer-Reporter, Washington PA, Thursday 19 November 1981, page D 3 - J. TAYLOR CHEESEMAN, 79, of Eighty Four R. D. 1, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 18, 1981, in Washington Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident November 2. He was born September 15, 1902, in Library, a son of LOYAL and EDMONIA RIGGS CHEESEMAN. Mr. Cheeseman was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and he was a farmer in the Peters Township area for many years. He later worked for the Brookside Lumber Co. in Bethel Park, retiring in 1970. Mr. Cheeseman was a lifetime member of Center Presbyterian Church of Peters Township and the Sixty Plus Club of the church. He was a charter member of the Peters Township Fire Co. and a 50-year member of Canon Lodge No. 204, Knights of Pythias. On June 30, 1949, he married EMILY FIFE, who died August 10, 1964. Surviving are one daughter, NANCY, of Wheeling, W. Va., and two nieces, FLORA JANE MOORE and ALICE CAROL COLLAR, and one nephew, JAMES STURGEON. Deceased are one brother, HAROLD, and three sisters, MAUDE, MARY and JEAN.

D. 1, who died Wednesday, November 18, 1981, will be received after 7 p.m. Thursday and after 2 p.m. Friday in the Griffith and Bogan Funeral Home, 164 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, where services will be conducted Saturday, November 21, at a time to be announced, with the Rev. David Walker officiating. Burial in Mingo Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Canon Lodge No. 204, Knights of Pythias, will hold services Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
