Frank Clayton Ruth, 40, of 272 South Washington Street, Waynesburg, died at 11 o’clock tonight in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill several weeks, influenza being followed by heart and kidney ailments. He had been improving slowly but returned to the hospital at 2:40 o’clock this morning. He was born Dec. 16, 1898, at Enon, in Richhill Township, and was a son of D. I. and Minerva Supler Ruth. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church. In 1918 he entered the employ of the Natural Gas Company of West Virginia, serving in the field and later in the office at Graysville. The last few years he had been chief clerk at the Waynesburg office of the Manufacturers Light & Heat Company. He had lived in Waynesburg the last two and one half years.
Surviving are his parents, who live at Wind Ridge; his wife, Mrs. Maude Guthrie Ruth; two brothers, Stanley I. Ruth, of Claysville, and Willis D. Ruth, of Lone Pine.
Funeral services are incomplete.
