This beautiful area of
York County was, as the sign above states, settled by the sons and daughters of
Massachusetts families who came to New Brunswick in the 1760's and by Loyalist
families who had left the United States after the American Revolution. Among the
early families from Massachusetts were my ancestors, the Jewett family.
A very early building built near McKeen's Corner still exists today. The
date on the building below reads 1790. The two links above will take you to the
history of the Keswick Ridge United Church and the history of the Keswick Ridge
Superior School. In 2003 this building was moved by the Keswick Ridge
Historical Society to the grounds of the Superior School
