The
homestead picture below, from the early 1900s is the farm on which at
least 3 generations of my paternal ancestors were raised. It began as a
Jewett farm in the 1800s, then Gordon for the first part of the 1900s, and
finally the Lawrence farm. On the left hand side in the foreground of the
picture is the Jewett family cheese factory. On August 2, 1893 the
newspaper reported that the butter and cheese factory at Keswick Ridge had
started operation. A picture of the Jewett family in front of factory can be
found on the Family Photo 2 page. The homestead today is located on the Kee Road
in Keswick Ridge, NB.

The picture below is a
shot of Keswick Ridge as it is today from outside my parents new home. On the
left hand side, my childhood home can almost be seen. Below this is a present
day picture of childhood home.

The picture below was
found by my mother at a yardsale. It shows the old road leading down to the St
John River from Keswick Ridge. Today at the river's edge in the center of
the picture stands the Mactaquac Dam and power generating station.
