Aaron George Phar0 was born in Chertsey, Surrey in April 1842.  He was baptized in Chertsey on 8 January 1843.  He was the son of Aaron Pharo and Ann (nee Smithers). 

Aaron Married Susan Jurd in October 1864 in Wandswoth, Surrey.  Susan or Susannah Jurd was born at Point Pleasant, Wandswoth, Surrey on 19 April 1846.  She was the daughter of Thomas Jurd and Harriett (nee Lovell); the youngest of 6 children.  Aaron’s occupation is listed as gardener in the 1871 and 1881 census.

They had 7 children in Surrey George (1866-1952), Edward William (1869-1958), Annie Beatrice (1872-1942), Jane Elizabeth (Jinnie) (1875-1946), Thomas (1877-1965), Alice Susan (1878-1959) and Charles Walter (1883-1957).

Aaron, Susan and their 7 children arrived in New South Wales on 5 June 1885 aboard the Bombay.

Their 8th child, Bertha May (1886-1916), was born in Ryde, NSW,

Aaron passed away on 29 February 1928 and was buried at Northern Suburbs Cemetery, North Ryde, NSW on 2 March 1928.  Susan died on 2 September 1931 at North Wollstonecraft, NSW and was buried on 4 September 1931.
