Billy III

Hi! I am Billy III!

I was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota. My parents moved to Bridgewater when I was just a year old. We lived on a little farm in Bridgewater. We had a few horses, cows, pigs, sheep, etc. and I helped take care of them. I spent much of my time on my go-carts, lawnmowers, and motorcycles. You will have to ask me about the time I jumped out of our two story barn. It is a pretty funny story.

This is my mom, dad, 3 sisters and me!-----------Me with the chicken pox!------------Me in those sexy 70's clothes!

My parents divorced when I was 13 and I moved back to Hot Springs with my dad. I met Jodi while I was in 8th grade. We spent most of our time together after we started dating. Jodi graduated from high school in 1992 and I still had two years left. I decided to take those two years together so that I could go to college with Jodi. I finished school in 1993 and Jodi and I married that summer.

We left Hot Springs for Brookings so we could attend college at SDSU. I majored in Graphic Design. I graduated in May of 1998. After college at SDSU, we moved to Colorado so I could attend the Colorado Institute of Art to get a degree in Animation. After one boring semester there we decided this was not for us so we moved back to Hot Springs. I continued to work out of my home for Daktronics (the company I worked for while in college at SDSU). After a year and a half in Hot Springs, Dak called me back. I came back to office life and am still there now.

Jodi and I found a house in a town just north of Brookings in 2002 so we packed up and moved into what we hope is our last house. It is a nice house but we have some renovations that we want to accomplish. It is fun to have some hands-on projects to do.

I would like to dedicate this page to two very important people in my life. My dad, Billy Lee Sides Jr., who died very suddenly on August 19, 1997 and my grandpa, Billy Lee Sides Sr., who died on August 19, 1996. Neither of them got to see my son, Billy Lee Sides IV, for which I am truly sorry. Billy Jr. and Sr. both had big hearts. We miss them both.
