187. Marie Elizabeth HOVLAND was born on Feb 18, 1964. After graduation from Roncalli High School in 1982, Marie attended the University of South Dakota in Vermilion, earning a degree in English in 1986. Marie then went to Law School at Georgetown, graduating in 1989. Following law school graduation, Marie worked for a federal district court judge in Pierre, SD until 1990. She then was associated with the firm of Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz and Smith in Sioux Falls, SD. She became a partner in 1994.

Marie resigned her partnership and law practice in March of 1998 in order to work a reduced schedule with a federal district court judge so she could dedicate more time to her family. She continues that work today, and is happy to be able to balance work and family on most days.

Dennis and Marie celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary on Dec 27, 2006.

Marie Elizabeth HOVLAND and Dennis Duane BRESKE were married on Dec 27, 1986 in Aberdeen, SD. Dennis Duane BRESKE was born on Apr 12, 1960 in Webster, SD. After college, Dennis worked for the Governor's Office of Economic Development under Governor George Mickelson for three years, recruiting companies to the State of South Dakota. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in the fall of 1990. In 1991, Dennis started a career in commercial real estate, eventually starting his own real estate business in 1999. The business continues to grow and prosper. Marie Elizabeth HOVLAND and Dennis Duane BRESKE had the following children:

414	i.	Thomas Hovland BRESKE was born on Nov 24, 1993. Tom attends O'Gorman Junior High School where he participated in sports and the jazz band. Tom loves to play the guitar, and he is a wonderful student. He is an avid golfer and hopes to be on the O'Gorman High School golf team some day. On January 7, 2008 Tom's Mother wrote that he is a freshman at O'Gorman High School in Sioux Falls and plays on the school golf team.
415	ii.	Samuel James Hovland BRESKE was born on Mar 29, 1996. Sam attends school at the Challenge Center in Sioux Falls. He is smart as a whip, and intensely competitive in baseball, football and basketball. He played the bass in the school orchestra until recently when he took up private lessons on the bass guitar. Sam and Tom are planning to start a rock and roll band. Sam dreams of being a professional athlete someday, and he also talks about being a teacher. On January 7, 2008, Sam's Mom wrote that he is in the seventh grade at O'Gorman Jr High and plays baseball, football and basketball.
416	iii.	Benjamin Michael BRESKE was born on Jun 27, 2000. Ben is a delightful kindergartner at St. Mary's Elementary School. He loves to learn and is loved by all who meet him. Ben wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. On Jan 7, 2008, Marie wrote that Ben is now in the second grade at St. Mary's.
